Watch extended interviews from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
Danielle M. Villegas‘s insight:
You MUST watch all three parts of the interview with Malala Yousefazi linked here. I literally cried throughout the whole thing. She is an incredibly smart and courageous young woman who is going to be a great leader someday (as if she isn’t already).
At a time where technology is advanced so that children in far-off countries can access information about anything at anytime, and m-learning and e-learning are often at the forefront of education, we need to be reminded that there are communities in the world where children–both girls and boys–can’t even get someone to lead them while reading a book or have a slate to scratch on to learn. Malala reminds us of this. I totally agree that education is the key to everything–world peace, greater understanding of the world, equality among all. It is the instant equalizer. Those who don’t put emphasis on education in any country–even in the US–are people who, in my eyes, are just steps away from what Malala describes the Talib to be in her life.
Watch, and learn, and please take what this girl has to say to heart. She really puts it all in perspective.

Thanks, Danielle. As technical communicators, who seek to expand knowledge, we ought to find Malala’s words especially inspiring.
