Great news for anyone waiting for an official retail release of Google Glass, it shouldn’t cost you $1500. According to a recent teardown, TechInsights says the value of physical parts to build Google Glass is a mere $79.78.

My husband sent me this article this morning. Indeed, if the parts are within reason, how is it that the "labour" cost of it is so much? Seems very high. I’m beginning to wonder if the cost will truly come down once it’s released to the general public for the cost of a smartphone, as Google claims. Time will tell.
