My friend, Ed Marsh, has written a great article of the benefits of using the app, Evernote, for conference use. Considering I met Ed at two different tech comm conferences, I’ll take his word for it! I haven’t jumped on the Evernote bandwagon still, but between this recommendation and the one from my friend, Shay Shaked (see http://wp.me/p2hiSW-e6), it’s making me think that I need to reconsider!

This is a great article by Scott Nesbitt, who posted about it on Google+. He’s right in that good blogging is actually pre-planned and pre-organized ahead of time. I don’t necessarily do the same steps as he does, but the principle is the same. If I have an idea and it’s timeless versus timely, I’ll start a draft in WordPress, add a title and a few key points that I want to highlights, and then I’ll save the draft for another time. I have a stash of article ideas waiting to be written if I run out of ideas or if I need to figure out how to pace myself for a series of articles (as I’m doing now for my coverage of my Adobe Day/Lavacon visit). Some great tips on how to start thinking as a serious blogger.

This is a great inspirational book. I will have to follow more of these suggestions myself! It’s cool to see e-learning friends and acquaintances in the book, as well as many of the top e-learning pros out there that I recognize. Well done, Christopher Pappas!
